Location: Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany
Major Services:  Initial Outfitting and Transition

Project Overview: Cazador provided a wide-range of services throughout the 76,000-sqaure foot Spangdahlem Air Base Clinic modernization. Services included the acquisition of office furniture, medical/non-medical equipment, and access control systems; installation of force protection systems and artwork; and storage, transition, and project management services, to ensure that the medical facility maintained ongoing operations while transitioning to a new facility. The project provided 23 exam rooms, 218 medical professionals, and new medical equipment and furniture to the clinic. The two-floor clinic includes nearly 20 different departments, ranging from family health to physical therapy.

The Cazador Difference: The Cazador team’s collective experience enabled us to use local vendors as requested by the base contracting office, as well as help perform in-depth cost comparisons of products, evaluating quality and longevity. Cazador was instrumental in coordinating the international logistics of transporting necessary product overseas. A unique requirement related to the Spangdahlem Clinic was that the facility only had 220 volt power, resulting in a challenge to meet some of the Air Force Equipment Standards. Cazador successfully addressed this issue through our coordination with specialized U.S. vendors. Cazador also resolved resource protection requirements for the new clinic by coordinating funding and installation of force protection through SPAWAR Naval Command.
